Society for Energy, Environment and Development (SEED) was founded in 1987 by a few professionals with expertise in Engineering, Management, Solar Energy, Law and Social Work. The purpose of this NGO is to draw upon the expertise of these fields of study to create awareness about the Environment and Energy issues and creating devices to enhance the quality of life. SEED promotes community development activities under a four-fold program of employment, entrepreneurship, health and education.

SEED works in the areas of green energy applications, solar food processing, and rural women & youth empowerment. SEED believes in taking a holistic approach to achieve rural employment, food and nutrition security and environmental sustainability.
R&D
SEED’s R&D team creates high quality products with solar food processing technology evolved in its Labs. Our Labs are well equipped, with highly qualified staff conducting extensive research in developing innovative food products including nutaceauticals.
Products
SEED’s products are processed solely on green-energy utilization. SEED has pioneered commercial application of Solar Cabinet Air Dryers in processing of Fruits and Vegetables under scientific methods and assuring highest standards of hygiene and quality.
